When three core cables are unavailable and the current rating is high, trefoil clamps are utilized to tie high voltage single core (larger diameters) cables.Trefoil clamps can accommodate power cables of 1. 1 kv to 132kv grade that are single core PVC/HDE, XLPE, XLPE insulated
aluminum, unarmoured, earth, and unearth. Three-phase AC circuits with trefoil formation can be found in industrial installations, terminal kits, thermal power stations, sub-stations, generation stations, switchgear plants, and straight through jointing kits, among other places. These can be used for indoor or outdoor for vertical or horizontal running cables inside trenches or on racks/galleries.
